Kat grew up in the Bay Area and migrated along the California coast, making her way to Monterey Bay. Kat enjoys hiking, water sport activities, and she owns a couple older pitties and is a huge advocate for Pitbulls. Kat has a AA degree in Veterinary Medicine, completing her degree in Oakland, CA. Becoming a Hospital Manager was one of her main goals for this career field. Being creative, team encouragement, focus, client and patient safety & care are her top priorities.

Zaira is a Veterinary Assistant, graduated from Central Coast College in 2017. She joined Aguajito in October 2021. Prior to working here, she worked at a small animal practice for 4 years. She has a 7 year old lab mix named Apollo, a 4 year old goldendoodle named Benson and a 6 month old kitten named Hazel. When not working, she likes to spend time with her 2 daughters and significant other.
Desiree
Vet Assistant
Desiree grew up in Monterey Country. She has always had a passion for animals since she was young. Desiree started her career in emergency services and moved over to Aguajito Veterinary Hospital. She has three furry family members of her own. Two Belgian Malinois and one Chi-weenie rescue.
Lilian Gordo
Veterinary Assistant
Lili started her career in veterinary medicine as an emergency equine veterinary assistant at a hospital in Salinas, California before joining Aguajito Veterinary Hospital. She is currently completing her undergraduate degree in medical microbiology and hopes to attend UC Davis’s school of Veterinary Medicine as she is passionate about animal care. Lili has a Clydesdales Thoroughbred mare that she loves to ride and jump, as well as a spoiled goldendoodle at home.

Priscilla grew up in the Bay Area. This is her first time in the Vet Med. When she was little she has always loved pets and playing outside with stray animals. Priscilla spends her free time with her two kids cooking ,modeling and cosmetology. She has one frenchie named Chanel who is two years old.

My name is Alexandra I graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program at Central Coast College in 2024. I grew up in Salinas Ca and I have been here all my life and that’s the place I call home. Growing up I always had pets around me, they have always been my safe space & they are the reason I chose this career path. Being around animals 24/7 at work & being a part of making them feel better is something I really enjoy doing!
Nancy Valdez
Nancy was born in Mexico and raised in Salinas, CA. As young as a year old, her mom knew she had a passion for animals because she would spend hours in her Grandmother’s farm chasing the chickens or the ducks were chasing her! She grew up with different animals: goats, pigs, horses, rabbits, birds, chickens, and has had many various pets throughout her life including a Chinchilla that has already crossed the Rainbow Bridge along with 5 other pets. Nancy has five dogs, a cat, and a Red Ear Slider Turtle, all of which she refers to as her “shell and fur babies”. She has a big heart for all species of animals and always feeds strays or helps even the smallest of insects. Nancy got her job at an animal hospital right after graduating from Central Coast College in 2019 as a Veterinary Assistant and worked there for five years, recently joining Aguajito Veterinary Hospital. She completed the VASE program in 2022 and is working on taking the VTNE to become an RVT. When not working, Nancy loves spending time with her Daughter and partner going on an adventure.
